Stained glass artist Florence Camm – Birmingham and Black Country Lives

Florence Camm (1874-1960) was among the most talented and successful designers of stained glass of her period. Born in Smethwick, she exhibited her work 43 times at the Royal Academy in London as well as in other major exhibitions in Britain and Europe. Her combination of the vivid colours of the Pre-Raphaelites and Edwardian realism are regarded as some of the most outstanding stained glass ever produced in the Midlands.  A fine exhibition of her work can be seen at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.
