In 2009 you helped raise £900,000 towards the acquisition of the original find of the Staffordshire Hoard.
81 more pieces of the Staffordshire Hoard were found by archaeologists when working on the site after the field in Hammerwhich was ploughed in November 2012.
Just weeks after a donation appeal was launched for the new finds, it was announced that they had been secured for the nation in May 2013, by a single donation from Royal Court Jewellers Wartski, who made the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding ring.
They were absolutely delighted by the donation and looking forward to working on conserving and researching the new finds, along with the remainder of the treasure.
To help deliver this vital piece of work, and to display the treasures for all to see across the region and beyond, your ongoing donations are vital.
