Unlocking the World's first Shakespeare Memorial Library
Multi-award winning actor and director, Adrian Lester is the patron of the 'Everything to Everybody' initiative to unlock the world's first Shakespeare Memorial Library in Birmingham, UK.
Born in the city, Adrian invites you to join this exciting initiative which is supported by the University of Birmingham and Birmingham City Council and has received a development grant from the National Lottery Fund.
The Shakespeare Memorial Library held at the top of the iconic Library of Birmingham contains more than 50,000 items including a rare First Folio of Shakespeare's work, the collection is owned by the people of Birmingham but is a hidden treasure which this proposed £1 million project will make accessible to communities across the city and the world beyond.
