A sword's silver pommel
Passed down across generations of Anglo Saxon warriors?
This silver pommel from a warrior’s sword is one of the oldest objects from the Hoard - and one of the few made beyond Anglo Saxon England.
Worn by generations of fighting men, its design celebrates a pagan god and was probably an heirloom passed down across the generations.
