The Mappa Mundi at Hereford Cathedral is one of the great treasures of the Medieval World recognised in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
It offers a unique window into the Medieval mind, as well as painting a picture of the geography of Christendom. It paints a world inhabited by dragons, unicorns and giants, which depicts the spiritual path of humanity in this world and the next.
